store file permissions, mkbuildtree may not be executable.

- Fixed several overflows, off-by-one, and uninitialized variables.
- Added well-defined exit codes.
- Proper handling of system()'s return value.
- Errors parsing partition table cause it to stop now.
- etcetera...
Tested on 32 and 64 bit, with valgrind, with physical disks and disk
images.

This is Kurt Garloff's reworked network-bridge script:
* we got rid of ifconfig
* it works for netdev != eth0
* arp on and off are symmetric as are ifdown and ifup
* ifup will be passed the ifcfg config file name if needed
(the ifup may otherwise figure that the veth0 hardware is
NOT the same as the original ${netdev} and not use the same
config -- this happens on SUSE. Charles Coffing tracked this
one down.)
Plus Kurt's avoid-dash patch:
the network setup scripts on SUSE have trouble with the bridge
name xen-br0; they don't expect the '-'.
Arguably this should be fixed.
But I assume there's more scripts out there which may not like it,
so I suggest the following patch to rename xen-br0 to xenbr0.
Plus Charles Duffy's patch to support multiple bridges:
The attached patch allows the network-bridge script to be used to
generate multiple bridges corresponding to different physical
interfaces. It adds a new parameter, "vifnum", used to refer both to
the loopback interface to be used and to set defaults regarding the
physical interface and bridge name.
Thus, if one wishes to start xenbr0 on eth0 and xenbr1 on eth1, one
need only call:
network-bridge start ## vifnum is 0 by default
network-bridge start vifnum=1
...well, that and set loopback.nloopbacks=2 in the Dom0 kernel
parameters.
Plus renaming of virtnum to vifnum in Charles' patch, as requested by Ian Pratt.
Plus a fix to DevController to allocate vif IDs starting from 0 (i.e. vif2.0
is now domain 2's first vif, as opposed to vif2.1 in the recent past).
Plus tidying up inside network-bridge using some helper variables.

and xenconsole out of /usr/libexec/xen and into one of /usr/lib/xen/bin or
/usr/lib64/xen/bin. Remove all the PATH hacking inside Xend, and rely upon
the PATH being set correctly from outside. Added an auxbin module for
handling the hacky stuff.
Replace the few /usr/bin/python bang paths with /usr/bin/env python.

* adds a C-based security policy translation tool to Xen (secpol_xml2bin)
and removes the current Java
security policy translator (Java dependencies). The C-based tool
integrates into the Xen source tree build
and install (using gnome libxml2 for XML parsing). See install.txt.
* introduces security labels and related tools. Users can now use
semantic-rich label names to put security-tags
on domains. See example.txt, policy.txt.
* moves the security configuration (currently ACM_USE_SECURITY_POLICY)
from xen/Rules.mk
into a separate top-level Security.mk file (it is needed by the
tools/security and xen/acm).
Both xen/acm and tools/security are built during the Xen build process
only if ACM_USE_SECURITY_POLICY
is not ACM_NULL_POLICY (which is the default setting).

three patches to fix a problem with Xend starting consoled. consoled
depends on xenstored to be running and xenstored is started on demand in
Xend. The patches change xenstored to manage its own pidfile, and have
xend start actually start up xenstored.
and changes xm to simply exec /usr/libexec/xen/xc_console.
I've done a pretty good amount of testing and this seems to clear up all
of the Xend console issues in bugzilla.
This is a pretty big change to Xend though with a lot of deleted code so
I'd appreciate if people more familiar with the Xend codebase could look
through it critically.
In addition to the patch, the following files are no longer used:
tools/python/xen/util/console_client.py
tools/python/xen/xend/XendConsole.py
tools/python/xen/xend/server/SrvConsole.py
tools/python/xen/xend/server/SrvConsoleDir.py

and security policy-versioning and data structures in the xen subtree
(ACM):
* the very generic tools directory name "policy" is changed to
"security" and the included "policy_tool" to "secpol_tool"
* the single constant POLICY_INTERFACE_VERSION is replaced
by ACM_INTERFACE_VERSION; the security policy headers are
versioned independently since the policy can be supplied
at boot time instead of through the hypervisor interface

active at startup; this works by adding a module line into the grub
configuration file and placing the binary policy generated by the
policy tool into the boot directory; This assumes that a maximum of
one module line is used for the initrd in the grub configuration
file - Question: do users pass more than one module to the kernel?
- enables the policy hypervisor call on x86/64
- some function prototypes moved to include files
- moves the version number in the java tool up to the current
version (a better way of doing this will be submitted soon)

When xend starts, it fires off xcs. If you're running on a slow
machine its possible that xcs started but xend didnt wait long
enough to notice. The attached patch loops several times while
waiting for xcs to come up. It seems to be working here while the
original is not (slow machine here).

Nothing but vnet uses libxutil -- move it there.
Makefile, xc.c, setup.py, configure, configure.in, Makefile.in:
This doesn't use libxutil.
Makefile, Makefile.vnet, Rules.mk:
Move libxutil into vnet since it's only used there.

Slightly, but just because having /usr/lib/python in my sys.path is
ugly :-) I can look over it, though... patch doing that attached
