Andrew Cooper 67390ec1f7 tools/libxentoolcore: Fill in LIBHEADERS
c/s 4664034cd replaced a glob over include/*.h with an expectation that
LIBHEADER was suitably set for libraries which didn't have a single,
consistently named, header file.

This wasn't true for xentoolcore, which lost xentoolcore_internal.h as a
consequence, and failed an API/ABI check vs 4.14

Juergen Gross 4664034cdc tools/libs: move official headers to common directory
Instead of each library having an own include directory move the
official headers to tools/include instead. This will drop the need to
link those headers to tools/include and there is no need any longer
to have library-specific include paths when building Xen.

While at it remove setting of the unused variable
PKG_CONFIG_CFLAGS_LOCAL in libs/*/Makefile.

Juergen Gross 52dbd6f07c tools: generate pkg-config files from make variables
For each library built two variants of pkg-config files are created
from a per-library template: an "official" one for installation on
the user's system, and one used for building internal tools, like e.g.
qemu.

Instead of the template which is looking very similar for all libraries
generate the pkg-config files directly from make variables.

This will reduce the need to specify some pkg-config file entries in
the templates, as the contents can easily be generated from available
data (e.g. "Version:" and "Requires.private:" entries).

Especially the variant used for building internal tools needs to gain
additional runtime link parameters for the internally used libraries,
as otherwise those won't be found by the users (e.g. qemu).

Juergen Gross ded08cdfa7 tools: generate most contents of library make variables
Library related make variables (CFLAGS_lib*, SHDEPS_lib*, LDLIBS_lib*
and SHLIB_lib*) mostly have a common pattern for their values. Generate
most of this content automatically by adding a new per-library variable
defining on which other libraries a lib is depending. Those definitions
are put into an own file in order to make it possible to include it
from various Makefiles, especially for stubdom.

This in turn makes it possible to drop the USELIB variable from each
library Makefile.

The LIBNAME variable can be dropped, too, as it can be derived from the
directory name the library is residing in.

Juergen Gross 725ef89164 tools: switch XEN_LIBXEN* make variables to lower case (XEN_libxen*)
In order to harmonize names of library related make variables switch
XEN_LIBXEN* names to XEN_libxen*, as all other related variables (e.g.
CFLAGS_libxen*, SHDEPS_libxen*, ...) already use this pattern.

Rename XEN_LIBXC to XEN_libxenctrl, XEN_XENSTORE to XEN_libxenstore,
XEN_XENLIGHT to XEN_libxenlight, XEN_XLUTIL to XEN_libxlutil, and
XEN_LIBVCHAN to XEN_libxenvchan for the same reason.

Introduce XEN_libxenguest with the same value as XEN_libxenctrl.

No functional change.

Andrew Cooper 20fdbb1b07 tools/libs: Fix build following c/s 56dccee3f, take 2
The fix for c/s 01ba8f62b6 was speculative given no local repro. It turns
out that it didn't fix the problem.

The $(AUTOINCS) variable needs to be visible before libs.mk is included, to
have any effect.

Ian Jackson 9976f3874d tools: xentoolcore_restrict_all: Do deregistration before close
Closing the fd before unhooking it from the list runs the risk that a
concurrent thread calls xentoolcore_restrict_all will operate on the
old fd value, which might refer to a new fd by then. So we need to do
it in the other order.

Sadly this weakens the guarantee provided by xentoolcore_restrict_all
slightly, but not (I think) in a problematic way. It would be
possible to implement the previous guarantee, but it would involve
replacing all of the close() calls in all of the individual osdep
parts of all of the individual libraries with calls to a new function
which does
   dup2("/dev/null", thing->fd);
   pthread_mutex_lock(&handles_lock);
   thing->fd = -1;
   pthread_mutex_unlock(&handles_lock);
   close(fd);
which would be terribly tedious.

Ian Jackson b08da5859b xentoolcore, _restrict_all: Introduce new library and implementation
In practice, qemu opens a great many fds. Tracking them all down and
playing whack-a-mole is unattractive. It is also potentially fragile
in that future changes might accidentally undo our efforts.

Instead, we are going to teach all the Xen libraries how to register
their fds so that they can be neutered with one qemu call.

Right now, nothing will go wrong if some tries to link without
-ltoolcore, but that will stop working as soon as the first other Xen
library starts to register. So this patch will be followed by the
stubdom build update, and should be followed by a
MINIOS_UPSTREAM_REVISION updated.

Sadly qemu upstream's configuration arrangements are too crude, being
keyed solely off the Xen version number. So they cannot provide
forward/backward build compatibility across changes in xen-unstable,
like this one. qemu patches to link against xentoolcore should be
applied in qemu upstream so avoid the qemu build breaking against the
released version of Xen 4.10.
