On ARM the virtual GIC may differ between each guest (emulated GIC version,
number of SPIs...). This information is already known at the domain creation
and can never change.
For now only the gic_version is set. In the long run, there will be more
parameters such as the number of SPIs. All will be required to be set at the
same time.
A new arch-specific structure arch_domainconfig has been created, the x86
one doesn't have any specific configuration, for now, a dummy structure
(C-spec compliant) has been created.
Some external tools (qemu, xenstore) may be required to create a domain.
Rather than asking them to take care of the arch-specific domain
configuration, let the current function (xc_domain_create) chose a
default configuration and introduce a new one (xc_domain_create_config).
This patch also drops the previously introduced DOMCTL arm_configure_domain
in Xen 4.5, as it has been made useless.

Said hypercall for large BARs can take quite a while. As such
we can require that the hypercall MUST break up the request
in smaller values.
Another approach is to add preemption to it - whether we do the
preemption using hypercall_create_continuation or returning
EAGAIN to userspace (and have it re-invocate the call) - either
way the issue we cannot easily solve is that in 'map_mmio_regions'
if we encounter an error we MUST call 'unmap_mmio_regions' for the
whole BAR region.
Since the preemption would re-use input fields such as nr_mfns,
first_gfn, first_mfn - we would lose the original values -
and only undo what was done in the current round (i.e. ignoring
anything that was done prior to earlier preemptions).
Unless we re-used the return value as 'EAGAIN|nr_mfns_done<<10' but
that puts a limit (since the return value is a long) on the amount
of nr_mfns that can provided.
This patch sidesteps this problem by:
- Setting an hard limit of nr_mfns having to be 64 or less.
- Toolstack adjusts correspondingly to the nr_mfn limit.
- If the there is an error when adding the toolstack will call the
remove operation to remove the whole region.
The need to break this hypercall down is for large BARs can take
more than the guest (initial domain usually) time-slice. This has
the negative result in that the guest is locked out for a long
duration and is unable to act on any pending events.
We also augment the code to return zero if nr_mfns instead
of trying to the hypercall.
This is XSA-125 / CVE-2015-2752.

"libxc: Check xc_domain_maximum_gpfn for negative return values"
introduced an regression in tools outside libxc (migrate v2)

To make it work pre-commit a8f8a59 we add an xc_domain_nr_gpfns

A number of changes to XEN_SYSCTL_topologyinfo interface:
* Instead of copying data for each field in xen_sysctl_topologyinfo separately
put cpu/socket/node into a single structure and do a single copy for each
processor.
* A NULL cputopo handle passed is a request for maximum number of CPUs
(num_cpus). If cputopo is valid and num_cpus is smaller than the number of
CPUs in the system then -ENOBUFS is returned (and correct num_cpus is provided)
* Do not use max_cpu_index, which is almost always used for calculating number
CPUs (thus requiring adding or subtracting one), replace it with num_cpus.
* There is no need to copy whole op in sysctl to user at the end, we only need
num_cpus.
* Rename xen_sysctl_topologyinfo and XEN_SYSCTL_topologyinfo to reflect the fact
that these are used for CPU topology. Subsequent patch will add support for
PCI topology sysctl.
* Replace INVALID_TOPOLOGY_ID with "XEN_"-prefixed macros for each invalid type

The legacy save/restore infrastructure requires several function pointers from
the toolstack (libxl or Xend in the past) in order to work, and for HVM guests
also need to be able to play around in dom0's filesystem to move the device

Migration v2 changes some of this, but is similarly dependent on
toolstack-provided function pointers.

The code to initialize the grant table in libxc uses
xc_domain_maximum_gpfn() + 1 to get a guest pfn for mapping the grant
frame and to initialize it.
This solution has two major issues:
- The check of the return of xc_domain_maximum_gpfn is buggy because
xen_pfn_t is unsigned and in case of an error -ERRNO is returned.
Which is never catch with ( pfn <= 0 ).
- The guest memory layout maybe filled up to the end, i.e
xc_domain_maximum_gpfn() + 1 gives either 0 or an invalid PFN due to
hardware limitation.
Futhermore, on ARM, xc_domain_maximum_gpfn() is not implemented and
return -ENOSYS. This will make libxc to use always the same PFN which
may colapse with an already mapped region (see xen/include/public/arch-arm.h
for the layout).
This patch only address the problem for ARM, the x86 version use the same
behavior (ie xc_domain_maximum_gpfn() + 1), as I'm not familiar with Xen x86.
A new function xc_core_arch_get_scratch_gpfn is introduced to be able to
choose the gpfn per architecture.
For the ARM version, we use the GUEST_GNTTAB_GUEST which is the base of
the region by the guest to map the grant table. At the build time,
nothing is mapped there.
At the same time correctly check the return of xc_domain_maximum_gpfn
for x86.

The libxc xc_dom_* infrastructure uses a very simple malloc memory pool which
is freed by xc_dom_release. However the various xc_try_*_decode routines (other
than the gzip one) just use plain malloc/realloc and therefore the buffer ends
up leaked.
The memory pool currently supports mmap'd buffers as well as a directly
allocated buffers, however the try decode routines make use of realloc and do
not fit well into this model. Introduce a concept of an external memory block
to the memory pool and provide an interface to register such memory.
The mmap_ptr and mmap_len fields of the memblock tracking struct lose their
mmap_ prefix since they are now also used for external memory blocks.
We are only seeing this now because the gzip decoder doesn't leak and it's only
relatively recently that kernels in the wild have switched to better
compression.

The following commits introduced the time reference counter MSR and
TSC/APIC frequency MSRs into the viridian feature set respectively:
e36cd2cdc984657efd91
The time reference counter MSR feature was then reverted by commit
1cd4fab14c
because a flaw in the implementation meant the counter was reset on
migration.
All of these changes were made without any addtional options being
added to the VM configuration, or any compatibility checks being made
in the domain save/restore code. Hence setting the single boolean
'viridian' option in the VM configuration yields a different set of
features depending on which version of Xen the VM is started on, and the
feature set can change across migration (so new MSRs can magically appear).
This patch grandfathers in the current viridian features set and calls them
the 'base' and 'freq' feature sets. HVM_PARAM_VIRIDIAN is re-purposed as
a feature mask. The hypervisor has only ever allowed it ot be set to 0
or 1, so the presence of the base and freq sets are indicated by setting
bit 0. The freq set can then be turned off by setting bit 1, thus
restoring the pre-Xen-4.4 base set. Newly implemented viridian features
can be optionally enabled in future by setting further bits.
The viridian option in xl.cfg(5) has also been changed to a list so
that the sets can be individually enabled or disabled. For compatibility,
if the option is specified as a boolean, then a true (1) value will enable
the base and freq sets and a false (0) value will not enable any
enlightenments.
This patch also alters the allowed write accesses to HVM_PARAM_VIRIDIAN.
Currently there is nothing to stop the guest writing this value (which,
while harmless to anything else, should not happen) and nothing to
stop a toolstack from setting the value back to zero whilst the guest is
running, causing CPUID leaves to disappear and MSR accesses to start
causing GPFs in the guest. Both of these possibilities are now disallowed:
Once the parameter is set to a non-zero value it may not be modified (only
re-written with the same value), and guests no longer have any write
access.

[ ijc -- xenctrl.h has moved to tools/libxc/include, adjust patch to match ]
Also moves xc_dom.h to include as it is used often by other xen tools.
Use the new include subdirectories to build Xen tools, qemu-xen and
stubdoms.
Add the old libxc include path to the programs that need it to build,
on a case by case basis and commeting that they shouldn't require
internal libxc headers to build.
[ And: update QEMU_TRADITIONAL_REVISION to corresponding qemu patch
