Juergen Gross 89cafd4220 libxc: replace INVALID_P2M_ENTRY by INVALID_PFN
INVALID_P2M_ENTRY is defined as (xen_pfn_t)-1 and is often used

Wei Liu c8eb0ec277 libxc: refactor memory allocation functions
There were some problems with the original memory allocation functions:
1. xc_dom_alloc_segment and xc_dom_alloc_pad ended up calling
   xc_dom_chk_alloc_pages while xc_dom_alloc_page open-coded everything.
2. xc_dom_alloc_pad didn't call dom->allocate.

Refactor the code so that:
1. xc_dom_alloc_{segment,pad,page} end up calling
   xc_dom_chk_alloc_pages.
2. xc_dom_chk_alloc_pages calls dom->allocate.

This way we avoid scattering dom->allocate over multiple locations and
open-coding.

Also change the return type of xc_dom_alloc_page to xen_pfn_t and return
an invalid pfn when xc_dom_chk_alloc_pages fails.

Commit 8c45adec18 ("create unmapped

The initrd start address and size where stored in an unsigned long
instead of using a 64 bit type.

Juergen Gross a27f1fb69d libxc: use correct return type for do_memory_op()
Currently do_memory_op() is returning int, while the hypervisor is
returning long. This will lead to wrong return informations as soon as
e.g. a pfn larger than about 2 billion (8 TB) is returned.

Use the correct long return type instead and correct the functions
expecting a pfn via the return value of do_memory_op().

Shuai Ruan c708181305 libxc: expose xsaves/xgetbv1/xsavec to hvm guest
This patch exposes xsaves/xgetbv1/xsavec to hvm guest.
The reserved bits of eax/ebx/ecx/edx must be cleaned up
when call cpuid(0dh) with leaf 1 or 2..63.

According to the spec the following bits must be reserved:
For leaf 1, bits 03-04/08-31 of ecx is reserved. Edx is reserved.
For leaf 2...63, bits 01-31 of ecx is reserved, Edx is reserved.

But as no XSS festures are currently supported, even in HVM guests,
for leaf 2...63, ecx should be zero at the moment.

In case the kernel of a new pv-domU indicates it is supporting a p2m

Juergen Gross 81a76e4b12 libxc: rework of domain builder's page table handler
In order to prepare a p2m list outside of the initial kernel mapping
do a rework of the domain builder's page table handler. The goal is
to be able to use common helpers for page table allocation and setup
for initial kernel page tables and page tables mapping the p2m list.
This is achieved by supporting multiple mapping areas. The mapped
virtual addresses of the single areas must not overlap, while the
page tables of a new area added might already be partially present.
Especially the top level page table is existing only once, of course.

Currently restrict the number of mappings to 1 because the only mapping
now is the initial mapping created by toolstack. There should not be
behaviour change and guest visible change introduced.

Juergen Gross ea7c8a3d0e libxc: reorganize domain builder guest memory allocator
Guest memory allocation in the domain builder of libxc is done via
virtual addresses only. In order to be able to support preallocated
areas not virtually mapped reorganize the memory allocator to keep
track of allocated pages globally and in allocated segments.

This requires an interface change of the allocate callback of the
domain builder which currently is using the last mapped virtual
address as a parameter. This is no problem as the only user of this
callback is stubdom/grub/kexec.c using this virtual address to
calculate the last used pfn.

Julien Grall ed5c2c05cf tools/libxc: arm: Check the index before accessing the bank
When creating a guest with more than 3GB of memory, the 2 banks will be
used and the loop with overrunning. The code will fail later on because
Xen will deny to populate the region:

domainbuilder: detail: populate_one_size: populated 0x100/0x1e4 entries with shift 0
domainbuilder: detail: populate_guest_memory: Not enough RAM

This is because we are currently accessing the bank before checking the
validity of the index. AFAICT, on Debian Jessie, the compiler (gcc 4.9.2) is
assuming that it's not necessary to verify the index because it's used
before. This is a valid assumption because the operand of && are
execute from from left to right.

Re-order the checks to verify the validity of the index before accessing
the bank.

The problem has been present since the introduction of the multi-bank
feature in commit 45d9867837 " tools: arm:
prepare domain builder for multiple banks of guest RAM".

Wei Liu e8e9f830dc libxc: don't populate same pfn more than once in populate_pfns
The original implementation of populate_pfns didn't consider the same
pfn can be present multiple times in the array. The mechanism to prevent
populating the same pfn multiple times only worked if the recurring pfn
appeared in different batches.

This bug is discovered by Linux 4.1 32 bit kernel save / restore test,
which has several ptes pointing to same pfn, which results in an array
containing recurring pfn. When libxc called x86_pv_localise_page, the
original implementation would populate the same pfn more than once.

The fix is to set bit in populated bitmap as we generate list of pfns to
be populated.

Konrad Rzeszutek Wilk 880699a8bd tmem: Use 'struct xen_tmem_oid' in tmem_handle and move it to sysctl header.
Instead of the three member uint64_t structure.

The structure is used by the control stack for
XEN_SYSCTL_TMEM_OP_SAVE_GET_NEXT_[PAGE|INV] only so
moving it to the sysctl header.

Also modified tmemc_save_get_next_page to deal with
the new type - and converted some of the on-stack
usage of the array to use an pointer.

Further work will be to make the xen_sysctl_tmem_op have
an union with proper type for the two: ..GET_NEXT_[PAGE|INV]
operations.
