In changset 19540 a bug was introduced in the fib_iptable function in
vif-common.sh that incorrectly checks the exit status of iptables --
it always believes iptables has failed even when it hasn't.
The attached patch fixes that. It's also bug 1490.

blktap2 devices must be handled differently than blktap2
devices. blktap2 devices require a sysfs write to close the underlying
device, as well as extra sysfs writes when the domU is
paused/unpaused. The differences between blktap1 and blktap2 are great
enough to warrant the creation of a new device class, 'tap2', and
device controller for blktap2 devices.
* add a new device controller (Blktap2Controller) and device class
(tap2) for blktap2 devices
* move blktap2 specific code from DevController to Blktap2Controller
* if possible, check xenstore to determine block device class
* use vmpath (/vm/<uuid>/) when releasing devices
* modify linux hotplug cleanup script to handle blktap2 device
removal

Ubuntu puts /var/lock on tmpfs, so we should create /var/lock at
startup, rather than at installation time.

udev removed the udevinfo symlink from versions higher than 123 and
xen's build-system could not detect if udev is in place and has the
required version.

- Have the buid system generate a file which exports the install paths
for the hotplug scripts and stubdom / stubdom-dm
- Move file generation code from tools/python/Makefile into a gmake
macro
in Config.mk to avoid maintenance of three duplicates each with its
own
tweaks and bugs
- Export gmake variables into ioemu as shell variables
for upcoming ioemu patches
- Do above as a gmake macro to avoid maintenance of several duplicates
- Adjust hotplug scripts to find the right xen binaries from the
install directory
- Adjust stubdom-dm to use the install directories

When we want to setup a bridge without a ip address, function
do_ifup will not activate the bridge.
We should make the bridge active, then vif-bridge can work on the
bridge.

iptables cannot correctly handle situations when more than one command
is trying to set netfilter rules. In such situations, iptables may fail
with EAGAIN, which results in iptables: Unknown error
18446744073709551615.
Such situation can easily happen when multiple network devices are
configured for a domain as vif hotplug scripts are called in parallel
for all of the network devices.

Allow 'file' based disks, that are blkback based disks, to be shared
between the guest domain and the stubdom. It does so exploiting the
same exception introduced in the previous patch "stubdoms phy disks
sharing". Now we can remove the hack in stubdom-dm that forces "file"
disks to be opened using blktap instead of blkback.

For now hardcode /etc w/o a prefix as there are hardcoded
config paths in the code which would break otherwise.

This patch makes two small changes to dom0 iptables rules that permit
(and revoke) domU network access.
First:
Currently, a rule intended to allow domU network access is appended to
the end of the FORWARD chain, where it can be preempted by other =20
rules. This patch causes the rule to be inserted at the top, where
it's more likely to have the intended effect.
Second:
In some cases (e.g. Fedora 9's default iptables configuration), the
first rule alone is insufficient to permit two-way packet flow. This
patch adds a second rule to the FORWARD chain that permits replies to
domU network requests to reach the domU vif.

On RHEL5.2, ifup ${bridge} fails if ${bridge} != ${netdev},
because RHEL5.2's ifup ${bridge} runs the following sequence:
1. Search CONFIG that has the same mac address of ${bridge}.=20
ifcfg-${netdev} is found.
2. Run "ip link set dev ${netdev} up".
# ${bridge} is expected.
3. Output "Failed to bring up ${netdev}."
Because ${netdev} does not exist.
Thus, do_ifup() should not use ifup if ${bridge} != ${netdev}.

Until now the udev script for blktap devices needs to decide if to
signal success or failure to xend. As this script runs completely
independent of blktapctrl and tapdisk/ioemu which do the real work,
the udev script can't even theoretically know if tapdisk is happy.
This patch removes the udev script and replaces its checks by new
ones in libblktap.

This is a corrected version of a patch commited as c/s 19250 and
reverted by c/s 19314. Thanks to "trap sigerr ERR" in
xen-hotplug-common.sh the xen-hotplug-cleanup would exit when reading
/local/domain/ID/vm fails thus skipping all the xenstore-rm lines in
the rest of the script.
Change deviceDestroy behavior to remove /vm/UUID/device/...
path only when force was used (as it already does so for both frontend
and backend) and do the removing from xen-hotplug-cleanup script when
we are sure the device is really not attached to the guest any more.

Show errors in the way they are coming from xm command only (no usage
is printed now). Watchdog_wm() has been changed for not showing dots
in the process of shutting down domains and if an error occurs it
prints target domain, operation (save/restore/migrate etc.) and reason
of failure in more user-friendly way.
