bug wise, but keeping these defects at bay helps prevent real bugs
going unnoticed in the volume.

[ ijc -- drop mentions of removed files from MAINTAINERS ]
Originally there was only one counter to keep track of pages. It was
used erroneously to keep track of how many pages were mapped and how
many pages needed to be sent. In the end munmap(2) always had 0 as the
length argument, which resulted in leaking the mapping.
This problem was discovered on 32bit toolstack because 32bit applications
have notably smaller address space. In fact this bug affects 64bit
toolstack too.
Use a separate counter to keep track of the number of mapped pages to
solve this problem.

The DOMCTLs {,un}bind_pt_irq are using uint32_t for the machine_irq
while the helper is using uint8_t.
Currently on ARM, we are supporting SPIs whose irq number can go up to
1019 which doesn't fit in an uint8_t. The helpers xc_domain_bind_pt_spi
and xc_domain_unbint_pt_spi are correctly taking an uint16_t so the
libxc was truncating without noticing the user which may end up to
route the wrong IRQ.
Fix the problem by widening the machine_irq parameter in
xc_domain_*bind_pt_irq_int.
Note that XEN_DOMCTL_irq_permission has the same problem but it's not
used at the moment on ARM. So we can defer the changes after the release
of Xen 4.7.

means: EAX = 34 (hvmop), EBX = 24 (HVMOP_guest_request_vm_event),
ECX = 0 (NULL required for the hypercall parameter, reserved).

hvm_info->signature is not a string, but an 64 bit int, and is not
NULL terminated. The use of strncpy to populate it is inappropriate and
potentially misleading. A cursory glance might have you thinking someone
had miscounted the length of the string literal - not realising it was
intentionally cropping of the null termination.
Also, since we wish to initialise all of hvm_info->signature, and
certainly no more, the use of sizeof is safer.

hypercalls to allocate memory by allocating 1024*1024 extents of order 0

When building HVM guests, originally some fields of xc_hvm_build_args
are filled in xc_hvm_build (and buried in the wrong function), some are
set in libxl__build_hvm before passing xc_hvm_build_args to
xc_hvm_build. This is fragile.
After examining the code in xc_hvm_build that sets those fields, we can
in fact move setting of mmio_start etc in libxl. This way we consolidate
memory layout setting in libxl.
The setting of firmware data related fields is left in xc_hvm_build
because it depends on parsing ELF image. Those fields only point to
scratch data that doesn't affect memory layout.
There should be no change in the generated guest memory layout. But the
semantic is changed for xc_hvm_build. Toolstack that built directly on
top of libxc need to adjust to this change.

the first domain creation involving ballooning breaks. Due to "enforce"
