Andrew Cooper be1fdacf54 LICENSES: Remove the use of deprecated SPDX tags
The GPL and LGPL SPDX forms without an explicit -only or -or-later suffix are
deprecated and should not be used. Update the documention.

Somewhat unhelpfully at the time of writing, this only appears to be indicated
by the separation of the two tables at https://spdx.org/licenses/

The recent changes to libacpi are the only examples of deprecated LGPL tags in
tree, so fix them all up.

For GPL, we have many examples using deprecated tags. For now, just identify
them as such and recommend that no new instances get added.

This patch makes the TPM version, for which the ACPI library probes, configurable.
If acpi_config.tpm_verison is set to 1, it indicates that 1.2 (TCPA) should be probed.

Jan Beulich e93e635e14 libacpi: switch to SPDX
Commit 68823df358 ("acpi: Re-license ACPI builder files from GPLv2 to
LGPLv2.1") added references to a "special exception on linking described
in file LICENSE", without actually adding such a file. Quite likely
COPYING was meant instead, yet then its text matches LICENSES/LGPL-2.1
except for some explanatory text (clarifying the "only" aspect) at the
top (and formatting). Hence replace the text in all the files with SPDX
references to LGPL-2.1.

Note that dsdt_acpi_info.asl had no license text. An SPDX tag is being
added there nevertheless.

David Woodhouse b190af7d3e libacpi: fix PCI hotplug AML
The emulated PIIX3 uses a nybble for the status of each PCI function,
so the status for e.g. slot 0 functions 0 and 1 respectively can be
read as (\_GPE.PH00 & 0x0F), and (\_GPE.PH00 >> 0x04).

The AML that Xen gives to a guest gets the operand order for the odd-
numbered functions the wrong way round, returning (0x04 >> \_GPE.PH00)
instead.

As far as I can tell, this was the wrong way round in Xen from the
moment that PCI hotplug was first introduced in commit 83d82e6f35:

+ ShiftRight (0x4, \_GPE.PH00, Local1)
+ Return (Local1) /* IN status as the _STA */

Or maybe there's bizarre AML operand ordering going on there, like
Intel's wrong-way-round assembler, and it only broke later when it was
changed to being generated?

Either way, it's definitely wrong now, and instrumenting a Linux guest
shows that it correctly sees _STA being 0x00 in function 0 of an empty
slot, but then the loop in acpiphp_glue.c::get_slot_status() goes on to
look at function 1 and sees that _STA evaluates to 0x04. Thus reporting
an adapter is present in every slot in /sys/bus/pci/slots/*

Quite why Linux wants to look for function 1 being physically present
when function 0 isn't... I don't want to think about right now.

Bertrand Marquis 48f35317c2 x86/public: move XEN_ACPI_ in a new header
When Xen is compiled for x86 on an arm machine, libacpi build is failing
due to a wrong include path:
- arch-x86/xen.h includes xen.h
- xen.h includes arch-arm.h (as __i386__ and __x86_64__ are not defined
but arm ones are).

To solve this issue move XEN_ACPI_ definitions in a new header
guest-acpi.h that can be included cleanly by mk_dsdt.c.
Inside this header, only protect the definitions using ifdef
__XEN_TOOLS__ as the defines are not used anywhere in the hypervisor and
are not expected to be.

Previous users needing any of the XEN_ACPI_ definitions will now need to
include arch-x86/guest-acpi.h instead of arch-x86/xen.h

Jan Beulich e006b2e3be libxl: fix libacpi dependency
$(DSDT_FILES-y) depends on the recursive make to have run in libacpi/
such that the file(s) itself/themselves were generated before
compilation gets attempted. The same, however, is also necessary for
generated headers, before source files including them would get
attempted to be compiled.

The dependency specified in libacpi's Makefile, otoh, is entirely
pointless nowadays - no compilation happens there anymore (except for
tools involved in building the generated files). Together with it, the
rule generating acpi.a also can go away.

Jason Andryuk d3db7e043c libacpi: widen TPM detection
The hardcoded tpm_signature is too restrictive to detect many TPMs. For
instance, it doesn't accept a QEMU emulated TPM (VID 0x1014 DID 0x0001).
Make the TPM detection match that in rombios which accepts a wider
range.

With this change, the TPM's TCPA ACPI table is generated and the guest
OS can automatically load the tpm_tis driver. It also allows seabios to
detect and use the TPM. However, seabios skips some TPM initialization
when running under Xen, so it will not populate any PCRs unless modified
to run the initialization under Xen.

Igor Druzhinin 6761965243 libacpi: report PCI slots as enabled only for hotpluggable devices
DSDT for qemu-xen lacks _STA method of PCI slot object. If _STA method
doesn't exist then the slot is assumed to be always present and active
which in conjunction with _EJ0 method makes every device ejectable for
an OS even if it's not the case.

qemu-kvm is able to dynamically add _EJ0 method only to those slots
that either have hotpluggable devices or free for PCI passthrough.
As Xen lacks this capability we cannot use their way.

qemu-xen-traditional DSDT has _STA method which only reports that
the slot is present if there is a PCI devices hotplugged there.
This is done through querying of its PCI hotplug controller.
qemu-xen has similar capability that reports if device is "hotpluggable
or absent" which we can use to achieve the same result.

New versions of iasl have introduced improved C file generation, as
reported in the changelog:

iASL: Enhanced the -tc option (which creates an AML hex file in C,
suitable for import into a firmware project):
  1) Create a unique name for the table, to simplify use of multiple
SSDTs.
  2) Add a protection #ifdef in the file, similar to a .h header file.

The net effect of that on generated files is:

-unsigned char AmlCode[] =
+#ifndef __SSDT_S4_HEX__
+#define __SSDT_S4_HEX__
+
+unsigned char ssdt_s4_aml_code[] =

The above example is from ssdt_s4.asl.

suffix from the variable name on generated files.

Roger Pau Monne a8c87a8788 acpi: set correct address of the control/event blocks in the FADT
Commit 149c6b unmasked an issue long present in Xen: the control/event
block addresses provided in the ACPI FADT table where hardcoded to the
V1 version. This was papered over because hvmloader would also always
set HVM_PARAM_ACPI_IOPORTS_LOCATION to 1 regardless of the BIOS
version.

The most notable issue caused by the above bug was that the QEMU
traditional GPE0 block was out of sync: the address provided in the
FADT didn't match the address QEMU was using.

Note that PM1a and TMR worked fine because the V1 address was
hardcoded in the FADT and HVM_PARAM_ACPI_IOPORTS_LOCATION was
unconditionally set to 1 by hvmloader.

Fix this by passing the address of the control/event blocks to
acpi_build_tables, so the values can be properly set in the FADT table
provided to the guest.

The commit c4ac1077 "libxl/arm: Generate static ACPI DSDT table"
introduced support of ARM64 in mk_dsdt but also break cross-building

While mk_dsdt should generate ACPI table for the target architecture, it
currently generates the one for the host. This is because the source

__x86_64__, __i386__) when it should be the target architecture.

Replace all __aarch64__, __x86_64__, __i386__ by the corresponding

Boris Ostrovsky e9a8dc050f libacpi: Build DSDT for PVH guests
