The IO port, MSR, IO-APIC and LAPIC accessors compile typically to single or
pairs of instructions, which is less overhead than even the stack manipulation
to call the helpers.
Move the implementations from util.c to being static inlines in util.h
In addition, turn ioapic_base_address into a constant as it is never modified
from 0xfec00000 (substantially shrinks the IO-APIC logic), and make use of the
"A" constraint for WRMSR/RDMSR like we already do for RDTSC.

Introduce a xen-livepatch tool --force option, that's propagated into the

used to bypass some checks that would otherwise prevent the patch from being

Re purpose the pad field in xen_sysctl_livepatch_op to be a flags field that

hypercall wrappers for the XEN_SYSCTL_LIVEPATCH_UPLOAD operation, as that's so

xl/libxl only applies vkb=[] to PV & PVH guests. HVM gets only a single
vkb by default, but that can be disabled by the vkb_device boolean.
Notably the HVM vkb cannot be configured, so feature-abs-pointer or the
backend-type cannot be specified.
Re-arrange the logic so that vkb=[] is handled regardless of domain
type. If vkb is empty or unspecified, follow the vkb_device boolean for
HVMs. Nothing changes for PVH & PV. HVMs can now get a configured vkb
instead of just the default one.
The chance for regression is an HVM config with
vkb=["$something"]
vkb_device=false
Which would now get a vkb.
This is useful for vGlass which provides a VKB to HVMs. vGlass wants to
specify feature-abs-pointer, but that is racily written by vGlass
instead of coming through the xl.cfg. Unhelpfully, Linux xen-kbdfront

RFDS affects Atom cores, also branded E-cores, between the Goldmont and
Gracemont microarchitectures. This includes Alder Lake and Raptor Lake hybrid
clien systems which have a mix of Gracemont and other types of cores.
Two new bits have been defined; RFDS_CLEAR to indicate VERW has more side
effets, and RFDS_NO to incidate that the system is unaffected. Plenty of
unaffected CPUs won't be getting RFDS_NO retrofitted in microcode, so we
synthesise it. Alder Lake and Raptor Lake Xeon-E's are unaffected due to
their platform configuration, and we must use the Hybrid CPUID bit to
distinguish them from their non-Xeon counterparts.
Like MD_CLEAR and FB_CLEAR, RFDS_CLEAR needs OR-ing across a resource pool, so
set it in the max policies and reflect the host setting in default.
