Andrew Cooper 435e985b10 tools/xenstat: Fix -Wformat-truncation= issue
Building with GCC 8.3 on Buster identifies:

  src/xenstat_linux.c: In function 'xenstat_collect_networks':
src/xenstat_linux.c:307:32: warning: 'snprintf' output may be truncated before
  the last format character [-Wformat-truncation=]
    snprintf(devNoBridge, 16, "p%s", devBridge);
                                  ^
src/xenstat_linux.c:307:2: note: 'snprintf' output between 2 and 17 bytes into
  a destination of size 16
    snprintf(devNoBridge, 16, "p%s", devBridge);
    ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

devNoBridge[] needs one charater more than devBridge[], so allocate one byte
more. Replace a raw 16 in the snprintf() call with a sizeof() expression
instead.

Finally, libxenstat, unlike most of the rest of the Xen, doesn't use -Werror
which is why this issue went unnoticed in CI. Fix this.

Petre Pircalabu f2b40dabab Makefile: Fix uninstall target
Running "make uninstall" does not remove all installed files, a
situation which might cause link related issues if xen is re-installed
in a different location.
In order to make uninstall correctly remove the files it is best
the process should be done recursively by mirroring each "install"
target with an "uninstall" who removes the installed files.

An exception to this rule is uninstalling the files produced by
"qemu-xen-dir-remote" and "qemu-xen-traditional-dir", which are external
to the project. These projects do not implement an "uninstall" target so
the files have to be removed manually.

Wei Liu dedb221889 libxenstat: honour XEN_RUN_DIR
This is because libxl uses XEN_RUN_DIR to generate the socket path for
libxenstat while libxenstat itself uses hard-coded path, which is not
necessarily the same path as XEN_RUN_DIR. The default configuration
happened to work because XEN_RUN_DIR defaulted to /var/run/xen, which
matched the hard-coded path.

We should make libxenstat use XEN_RUN_DIR so that it works with
non-default configuration.

Generate a _paths.h because it is required to make this change work.

Konrad Rzeszutek Wilk d0edc15a6c tmem: Move TMEM_CONTROL subop of tmem hypercall to sysctl.
The operations are to be used by an control domain to set parameters,
list pools, clients, and to be used during migration.

There is no need to have them in the tmem hypercall path.

This patch moves code without adding fixes - and in fact in
some cases makes the parameters soo long that they hurt eyes - but
that is for another patch.

Note that in regards to existing users:

 - Only the control domain could call it - which meant that if
a guest called it would get -EPERM, so we are OK there.
In practice no guests called this TMEM_CONTROL command.

 - The spec: https://oss.oracle.com/projects/tmem/dist/documentation/api/tmemspec-v001.pdf
mentions: "TBD [Not sure if this is really needed.]"
which is a carte blanche as any to do this!

Note: The XSM check is the same - we just move it from do_tmem_op
to do_sysctl.

We also add an 32-bit pad to make the sysctl structure have the same
exact size under 32 and 64-bit toolstacks and not worry about aligment
issues.

And the XLAT does not need to deal with the buf as it has been
moved to another structure which is 32/64 fixed.

Daniel Kiper b248d32f4f tools: link executables with libtinfo explicitly
binutils 2.22 changed ld default from --copy-dt-needed-entries
to -no-copy-dt-needed-entries. This revealed that some objects
are linked implicitly with libtinfo and newer ld fails to build
relevant executables.

Below is short explanation why we should not do that...

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/UnderstandingDSOLinkChange says:

The default behaviour for ld (my note: before version 2.22) allows
users to 'indirectly' link to required objects/libraries through
intermediate objects/libraries. While this is convenient, it can
also be dangerous because it makes your program's dependencies tied
to the dependencies of other objects. If those objects ever change
their linkages, they can break your program without any changes
to your own code!

Charles Arnold eb141d23a0 xentop: add support for qdisks
Now that Xen uses qdisks by default and qemu does not write out
statistics to sysfs this patch queries the QMP for disk statistics.

This patch depends on libyajl for parsing statistics returned from
QMP. The runtime requires libyajl 2.0.3 or newer for required bug
fixes in yajl_tree_parse().

Libxl is modified to create a new socket dedicated for the use of
libxenstat for querying the block statistics using QMP.

The current APIs remain unchanged. It works within the existing
framework of libxenstat.

Konrad Rzeszutek Wilk af5d428947 libxc: Fix xc_tmem_control to return proper error.
The API returns now negative values on error and stashes
the error in errno. Fix the user of this API.

The 'xc_hypercall_bounce_pre' can fail - and if so it will
stash its errno values - no need to over-write it.

Andrew Cooper f01eb36114 tools/Coverity: Audit of MISSING_BREAK defects
Coverity uses several heuristics to identify when one case statement
legitimately falls through into the next, and a comment as the final item in a
case statement is one heuristic (the assumption being that it is a
justification for the fallthrough).

Use this to perform an audit of defects and hide the legitimate fallthroughs.

There are two bugfixes identified in the audit, both minor:
 * 'n' command line handling for gtracestat
 * BKSPC handling in xentop

All other identified defaults are legitimate fallthoughs

Wei Liu f9c9b12775 tools: fix "make distclean"
The original rule to target "distclean" in tools/Rules.mk was in effect
"make clean". It should be "make distclean".

However not all Makefiles in subdirectories have distclean target
defined. So this patch also adds a bunch of distclean targets to various
Makefiles. They only depend on clean target and don't have any actions
in most cases.

With the patch applied, following command outputs 0 results:

find tools -name 'Makefile*' -exec grep -L 'distclean' {} \+ \
     | grep -v ocaml | grep -v libfsimage

Ocaml and libfsimage are known to have distclean defined in a dedicated
rules file.

Markus Hauschild 1210f81cdf xentop: Dynamically expand some columns
Allow certain xentop columns to automatically expand as the amount
of data reported gets larger. The columns allowed to auto expand are:

NETTX(k), NETRX(k), VBD_RD, VBD_WR, VBD_RSECT, VBD_WSECT

If the -f option is used to allow full length VM names, those names will
also be aligned based on the longest name in the NAME column.

The default minimum width of all columns remains unchanged.
