kfraser@localhost.localdomain 46c01e0595 Make domctl/sysctl interfaces 32-/64-bit invariant.
This kills off a fair amount of unpleasant CONFIG_COMPAT shimming and
avoids needing to keep the compat paths in sync as these interfaces
continue to develop.

kfraser@localhost.localdomain 4b3b0d5ce5 [LIBXC] Refactor xc_domain_resume() into its own source file.
The idea is that this file is where we will have two implementations
of 'suspend cancellation': one which the guest is aware of (and is
faster) and the other which does more work to avoid requiring guest
modifications.

kfraser@localhost.localdomain b63e5446b8 [XEN] Cleanups to phys/mach address handling.
1. Balloon driver does not need to set M2P entry.
This is done by the populate_physmap hypercall.

 2. Xen now translates foreign mappings from GMFN->MFN.
Tools are simplified because of this.

kfraser@localhost.localdomain 1df421476a Replace dom0_ops hypercall with three new hypercalls:
1. platform_op -- used by dom0 kernel to perform actions on the
hardware platform (e.g., MTRR access, microcode update, platform
    quirks, ...)
 2. domctl -- used by management tools to control a specified domain
 3. sysctl -- used by management tools for system-wide actions

Benefits include more sensible factoring of actions to
hypercalls. Also allows tool compatibility to be tracked separately
from the dom0 kernel. The assumption is that it will be easier to
replace libxenctrl, libxenguest and Xen as a matched set if the
dom0 kernel does not need to be replaced too (e.g., because that
would require vendor revalidation).

From here on we hope to maintain dom0 kernel compatibility. This
promise is not extended to tool compatibility beyond the existing
guarantee that compatibility will not be broken within a three-level
stable release [3.0.2, 3.0.3, etc.].

kaf24@firebug.cl.cam.ac.uk 66edd49a38 Add code to make handling domain poweroff/reboot symmetrical between
paravirtualized and fully virtualized. This approach uses the new
sched_op to handle other domains than the current domain. The new
code, SCHEDOP_remote_shutdown, is very much like SCHEDOP_shutdown, but
is called with the id of the domain which is to be shut down. This
allows fully virtualized shutdown and para-virtualized shutdown to be
identical from that point forward.

A paravirtualized domain uses sched_op to shut down and set the reason
code. This will send a VIRQ_DOM_EXC, which can be handled in dom0 by
control software. In some ways, this resembles SIGCHILD/waitpid, and
is a reasonable model.

The fully virtualized case has qemu invoke xm directly. This is a
different path than paravirtualized. It also removes decision and
policy making choices from the rest of the control software and places
it within qemu. When any dom0 logic eventually gets a VIRQ_DOM_EXC,
the information about the domain is gone having been destroyed by xm.

A libxenctrl wrapper, xc_shutdown_domain has been added and qemu now
calls it.

As a freebie, #if 0 some very verbose logging code in qemu. Totally
unrelated, but as long as I was there...

emellor@leeni.uk.xensource.com a22292f2bb Make it possible to run valgrind on code linked with the libxc libraries.
Valgrind cannot see when a hypercall has initialised entries in a data
structure, so appropriate memsets have been placed before using dom0_op_t,
privcmd_hypercall_t, and a couple of miscellaneous blocks passed into this
layer. This initialises the block so that valgrind considers it to be valid,
but the data therein will be immediately overwritten by the hypercall, all
being well.

These changes are semantically neutral if -DVALGRIND is not set.

operation allows retrieval of the domain info structures for all domains

Using a small test program, on a system with 97 domains with
non-contiguous domain IDs, I found that with this hypercall I could
retrieve the full array of info structures 12840 times per second, an
improvement from 2380 times per second with the DOM0_GETDOMAININFO op.
