Matthew Daley 02ebea7768 xencommons: write domain 0's domid to xenstore
libvchan's init_xs_srv (server-side xenstore-related initialization)
expects to find the current domain's domid at this xenstore key. libxl
(and xend) write this for domains they create. Do the same for domain 0,
allowing the use of libvchan in dom0.

Ian Campbell 03145f0fe4 tools: make building xend configurable.
xend has been deprecated for 2 releases now. Lets make it possible to not even
build it.

For now I'm leaving the default of on but I would like to change that before
the 4.4 release.

Sander Eikelenboom 0991e2dd34 init/sysconfig scripts: Remove --halt/-H option for shutdown command.
The --halt/-H option for the shutdown command is now pointless,
since linux in a guest treats "halt" and "poweroff" identically.
The option is not implemented in xl / libxl and if supplied causes the command
to fail , so remove it from the init and sysconfig scripts.

Roger Pau Monne c6c1fd29e9 hotplug/NetBSD: check type of file to attach from params
xend used to set the xenbus backend entry "type" to either "phy" or
"file", but now libxl sets it to "phy" for both file and block device.
We have to manually check for the type of the "param" field in order
to detect if we are trying to attach a file or a block device.

Roger Pau Monne 14b47731ea init/NetBSD: move xenbackendd to xend init script
xenbackendd is not needed by the xl toolstack, so move it's launch to
the xend script.

We have to iterate until we are sure there are no xend processes left,
since doing a single pkill usually leaves xend processes running.

Keir Fraser 9fe075decc tools: xenbackendd for NetBSD
Attached patch introduces xenbackendd. It is used on NetBSD
to launch the hotplug scripts. Later xenbackendd can be improved to
also launch qemu-dm as child process and will notice when qemu-dm
crashes.

The changes the patch makes:
- rename hotplug scripts as xenbackendd expects them
(current names were taken from pkgsrc)
- install hotplug scripts as executable scripts
- introduce xenbackendd
- build/install/launch on NetBSD only

Keir Fraser a2b4af7d77 Get rid of hardcoded pathes for stubdom and hotplug scripts
- Have the buid system generate a file which exports the install paths
for the hotplug scripts and stubdom / stubdom-dm
- Move file generation code from tools/python/Makefile into a gmake
   macro
in Config.mk to avoid maintenance of three duplicates each with its
   own
  tweaks and bugs
- Export gmake variables into ioemu as shell variables
  for upcoming ioemu patches
- Do above as a gmake macro to avoid maintenance of several duplicates
- Adjust hotplug scripts to find the right xen binaries from the
  install directory
- Adjust stubdom-dm to use the install directories
