They are rather incomplete and have no users or maintainer. Many of the functions which do exsit raise a NotImplemented exception. Disable them so that users of the 4.2 release aren't confused into trying to use them. This only does the minimal to disable them and makes it easy to locally reenable if anyone wants to hack these into shape in the future.
