Manuel Bouyer e8524e4d4d Fix error: array subscript has type 'char' ...

Use unsigned char variable, or cast to (unsigned char), for
tolower()/islower() and friends. Fix compiler error
array subscript has type 'char' [-Werror=char-subscripts]
