Elliott Mitchell 280e4ca4df tools: remove setup_physical_bridge_port() function
Only the setup_virtual_bridge_port() function was used. As such merge
that with _setup_bridge_port() and leave that as the remaining function.
The last user of setup_physical_bridge_port() was removed in 9fabe55939
("tools/hotplug: Remove network-*").

Elliott Mitchell 6eb13b6b1d tools/xl_parse: remove message for tsc mode string
Normal behavior is to be silent. Generating a message for the preferred
input can be mistaken for an error. As such remove this message to match
other conditions.

Elliott Mitchell 2acec87694 x86/APIC: adjustments to error_interrupt() loop
ARRAY_SIZE() makes future maintainance easier and thus less likely for
bugs to occur.

Elliott Mitchell 6960e343d6 x86/APIC: modify error_interrupt() to output using single printk()
This takes care of the issue of APIC errors tending to occur on multiple
cores at once. In turn this tends to causes the error messages to be
merged together, making understanding them difficult.

Elliott Mitchell 013670adf5 x86/APIC: include full string with error_interrupt() error messages
Rather than adding ", " with each printf(), simply include them in the
string initially. This allows converting to strlcat() or other methods
which strictly concatenate, rather than formatting.

Elliott Mitchell e500b6b8d0 tools/xl: use sparse init for dom_info, remove duplicate vars
Rather than having shadow variables for every element of dom_info, it is
better to properly initialize dom_info at the start. This also removes
the misleading memset() in the middle of main_create().

Remove the dryrun element of domain_create as that has been displaced
by the global "dryrun_only" variable.

Elliott Mitchell 3c245bc3a2 scripts/add_maintainers.pl: add -o as an alternative to --patchdir
This matches the output directory option used by `git format-patch`. I
suspect I'm not the only one who finds matching `git format-patch` more
intuitive, than -d for directory.

Elliott Mitchell 935e083671 xen/public: replace typeof() with __typeof__()
typeof() is available in Xen's build environment, which uses Xen's
compiler. As these headers are public, they need strict standards
conformance. Only __typeof__() is officially standardized.

A compiler in standards conformance mode should report:

warning: implicit declaration of function 'typeof' is invalid in C99
[-Wimplicit-function-declaration]

(this has been observed with FreeBSD's kernel build environment)

Elliott Mitchell 17d192e023 tools/python: Pass linker to Python build process
Unexpectedly the environment variable which needs to be passed is
$LDSHARED and not $LD. Otherwise Python may find the build `ld` instead
of the host `ld`.

Replace $(LDFLAGS) with $(SHLIB_LDFLAGS) as Python needs shared objects
it can load at runtime, not executables.

This uses $(CC) instead of $(LD) since Python distutils appends $CFLAGS
to $LDFLAGS which breaks many linkers.

Elliott Mitchell 69953e2856 tools: Partially revert "Cross-compilation fixes."
This partially reverts commit 16504669c5.

Doesn't look like much of 16504669c5
actually remains due to passage of time.

Of the 3, both Python and pygrub appear to mostly be building just fine
cross-compiling. The OCAML portion is being troublesome, this is going
to cause bug reports elsewhere soon. The OCAML portion though can
already be disabled by setting OCAML_TOOLS=n and shouldn't have this
extra form of disabling.
