must be unique and must change if the content of the file changes. The 
policy name is used to ensure that the XM tools and the hypervisor work 
on the same policy, i.e., interpret the security information on domains 
consistently. This patch also simplifies the policy management by moving 
policy and labels into a single file.

smh22@firebug.cl.cam.ac.uk a36f31b604 Attached patch allows PAE xenlinux to run in the shadow mode using 
log-dirty guest-refcount, which is required to support
save/restore/relocate. We can turn on/off the mode every 5-sec interval
while doing kernel build (make -j4), for example, and it survives for
hours. 

We are still restoring log-dirty mode for x86_64 xenlinux, which is not
very stable right now, but I believe it should be done very soon. 

We also checked that it did not break 64-bit VMX domains, which uses
different sub-mode of the shadow mode.

and security policy-versioning and data structures in the xen subtree 
(ACM):

 *  the very generic tools directory name "policy"  is changed to 
    "security" and the included "policy_tool" to "secpol_tool"

 * the single constant POLICY_INTERFACE_VERSION is replaced 
   by ACM_INTERFACE_VERSION; the security policy headers are
   versioned independently since the policy can be supplied
   at boot time instead of through the  hypervisor interface

to support having reading the boot loader config when you're using a
whole disk (eg, file:/root/disk.img,xvda,w) as opposed to just a
partition.

This reads the partition table in the MBR to find the active partition
and then passes that offset down into the filesystem reading code.
