Anthony PERARD 98d95437ed libs: Fix auto-generation of version-script for unstable libs
When there isn't a version-script for a shared library (like for
unstable libs), we create one based on the current Xen version. But
that version-script became out-of-date as soon as Xen's version
changes and make as no way to regenerate the version-script on
rebuild.

For unstable libs, we only needs the symver to be different from a
previous release of Xen. There's an option "--default-symver" which
allow to use the soname as symver and as the soname have the Xen
release version, it will be different for every release. With
--default-symver we don't need to generate a version-script.

But we also need to know if there's already an existing version script
, for that we introduce $(version-script) to be used to point to the
path of the existing script. (Guessing if a version script exist for a
stable library with for example $(wildcard) won't work as a file will
exist when building the library without this patch.)

We don't need the version-script unless we are making the shared
library so it is removed from the "all" target.

Anthony PERARD cfa5e1d250 tools/libs: create Makefile.common to be used by stubdom build system
This new "Makefile.common" is intended to be used by both tools/ and
stubdom/ build system without stubdom needed to use tools/ build
system.

It should contain the necessary list of objects and CFLAGS needed to
build a static library.

Change stubdom/ to check Makefile.common, for the linkfarm.

Anthony PERARD 5e7d75f2cb libs: Rename $(SRCS-y) to $(OBJS-y)
The only thing done thing done with $(SRCS-y) is to replace ".c" by
".o". It is more useful to collect which object we want to build as
make will figure out how to build it and from which source file.

Andrew Cooper 75fc859985 tools/foreignmem: Support querying the size of a resource
With the Xen side of this interface (soon to be) fixed to return real sizes,
userspace needs to be able to make the query.

Introduce xenforeignmemory_resource_size() for the purpose, bumping the
library minor version.

Update both all osdep_xenforeignmemory_map_resource() implementations to
understand size requests, skip the mmap() operation, and copy back the
nr_frames field.

For NetBSD, also fix up the ioctl() error path to issue an unmap(), which was
overlooked by c/s 4a64e2bb39 "libs/foreignmemory: Implement on NetBSD".

Juergen Gross 4664034cdc tools/libs: move official headers to common directory
Instead of each library having an own include directory move the
official headers to tools/include instead. This will drop the need to
link those headers to tools/include and there is no need any longer
to have library-specific include paths when building Xen.

While at it remove setting of the unused variable
PKG_CONFIG_CFLAGS_LOCAL in libs/*/Makefile.

Juergen Gross ded08cdfa7 tools: generate most contents of library make variables
Library related make variables (CFLAGS_lib*, SHDEPS_lib*, LDLIBS_lib*
and SHLIB_lib*) mostly have a common pattern for their values. Generate
most of this content automatically by adding a new per-library variable
defining on which other libraries a lib is depending. Those definitions
are put into an own file in order to make it possible to include it
from various Makefiles, especially for stubdom.

This in turn makes it possible to drop the USELIB variable from each
library Makefile.

The LIBNAME variable can be dropped, too, as it can be derived from the
directory name the library is residing in.

Juergen Gross 725ef89164 tools: switch XEN_LIBXEN* make variables to lower case (XEN_libxen*)
In order to harmonize names of library related make variables switch
XEN_LIBXEN* names to XEN_libxen*, as all other related variables (e.g.
CFLAGS_libxen*, SHDEPS_libxen*, ...) already use this pattern.

Rename XEN_LIBXC to XEN_libxenctrl, XEN_XENSTORE to XEN_libxenstore,
XEN_XENLIGHT to XEN_libxenlight, XEN_XLUTIL to XEN_libxlutil, and
XEN_LIBVCHAN to XEN_libxenvchan for the same reason.

Introduce XEN_libxenguest with the same value as XEN_libxenctrl.

This patch adds new functionality into libxenforeignmemory to make use
of a new privcmd ioctl [1] that uses the new memory op to make such
resources available via mmap(2).

DEPS_RM is currently the same as DEPS, so no functional change.

This patch is the result of two perl runes:

  git-grep -l 'rm.*DEPS' | xargs perl -i~ -pe 'next unless m/^\t+rm\b/; s/\bDEPS\b/DEPS_RM/;'

  git-grep -l 'RM.*DEPS' | xargs perl -i~ -pe 'next unless m/^\t+\$\(RM\)/; s/\bDEPS\b/DEPS_RM/;'

And editing tools/xenstat/libxenstat/Makefile by hand.

I verified that I didn't miss anything with this rune:

  git-grep '\bDEPS\b' | grep -v include |less

Petre Pircalabu f2b40dabab Makefile: Fix uninstall target
Running "make uninstall" does not remove all installed files, a
situation which might cause link related issues if xen is re-installed
in a different location.
In order to make uninstall correctly remove the files it is best
the process should be done recursively by mirroring each "install"
target with an "uninstall" who removes the installed files.

An exception to this rule is uninstalling the files produced by
"qemu-xen-dir-remote" and "qemu-xen-traditional-dir", which are external
to the project. These projects do not implement an "uninstall" target so
the files have to be removed manually.

Ian Campbell 3248691679 tools: Refactor foreign memory mapping into libxenforeignmemory
libxenforeignmemory will provide a stable API and ABI for mapping
foreign domain memory (subject to appropriate privileges).

The new library exposes an interface equivalent to
xc_map_foreign_memory_bulk, which all the other
xc_map_foreign_memory_* functions (which remain in libxc) are
implemented in terms of.

Upon request (via #define XC_WANT_COMPAT_MAP_FOREIGN_API) libxenctrl
will provide a compat API for the old names. This is used by qemu-xen
and qemu-trad as well as various in tree things (which required
de-dupping various #includes in some too to get the #define before the
first).
