Today the dummy XSM privilege checks for getdomaininfo are less
stringent than possible: they basically rely on the general
sysctl/domctl entry check to do all tests and then do the test with
the XSM_HOOK privilege, which is an "allow all" default.
Instead of XSM_HOOK use XSM_XS_PRIV, which is the privilege really
wanted. Note that this test is still wider than the sysctl entry test,
but there is no easy way to make both domctl and sysctl happy at the
same time.

conn_delete_all_transactions() should be callable in any context,
resetting ALL transaction related data.
This includes number of active transactions and the transaction
pointer in struct connection.
So reset conn->trans to NULL in conn_delete_all_transactions() and
do the cleanup for each transaction in destroy_transaction().
This avoids triggering the assert() in conn_delete_all_transactions()
in case e.g. ignore_connection() was called while an operation inside

When finalizing a transaction, any error occurring after checking for
conflicts will result in the transaction being performed only
partially today. Additionally accounting data will not be updated at
the end of the transaction, which might result in further problems
later.
Avoid those problems by multiple modifications:
- free any transaction specific nodes which don't need to be committed
as they haven't been written during the transaction as soon as their
generation count has been verified, this will reduce the risk of
out-of-memory situations
- store the transaction specific node name in struct accessed_node in
order to avoid the need to allocate additional memory for it when
finalizing the transaction
- don't stop the transaction finalization when hitting an error
condition, but try to continue to handle all modified nodes
- in case of a detected error do the accounting update as needed and
call the data base checking only after that
- if writing a node in a transaction is failing (e.g. due to a failed
quota check), fail the transaction, as prior changes to struct
accessed_node can't easily be undone in that case

Having a file backed data base has the only advantage of being capable

It has the major disadvantage of a huge performance overhead: switching
to keep the data base in memory only speeds up live update of xenstored

domain's generation count.
In case no struct domain is existing for a checked domain, but the

Add another quota for limiting the number of outstanding requests of a
guest. As the way to specify quotas on the command line is becoming
rather nasty, switch to a new scheme using [--quota|-Q] <what>=<val>
allowing to add more quotas in future easily.
Set the default value to 20 (basically a random value not seeming to
be too high or too low).
A request is said to be outstanding if any message generated by this
request (the direct response plus potential watch events) is not yet
completely stored into a ring buffer. The initial watch event sent as
a result of registering a watch is an exception.
Note that across a live update the relation to buffered watch events
for other domains is lost.
Use talloc_zero() for allocating the domain structure in order to have
all per-domain quota zeroed initially.

A future modification will limit the number of outstanding requests
for a domain, where "outstanding" means that the response of the
request or any resulting watch event hasn't been consumed yet.
In order to avoid a malicious guest being capable to block other guests
by not reading watch events, add a timeout for watch events. In case a
watch event hasn't been consumed after this timeout, it is being
deleted. Set the default timeout to 20 seconds (a random value being
not too high).
In order to support to specify other timeout values in future, use a
generic command line option for that purpose:

When removing a watched node outside of a transaction, two watch events
are being produced instead of just a single one.
When finalizing a transaction watch events can be generated for each
node which is being modified, even if outside a transaction such
modifications might not have resulted in a watch event.
This happens e.g.:
- for nodes which are only modified due to added/removed child entries
- for nodes being removed or created implicitly (e.g. creation of a/b/c
is implicitly creating a/b, resulting in watch events for a, a/b and
a/b/c instead of a/b/c only)
Avoid these additional watch events, in order to reduce the needed
memory inside Xenstore for queueing them.
This is being achieved by adding event flags to struct accessed_node
specifying whether an event should be triggered, and whether it should
be an exact match of the modified path. Both flags can be set from
fire_watches() instead of implying them only.

When the system is coming up after having been suspended,
restore_vcpu_affinity() is called for each domain in order to adjust
the vcpu's affinity settings in case a cpu didn't come to live again.
The way restore_vcpu_affinity() is doing that is wrong, because the
specific scheduler isn't being informed about a possible migration of
the vcpu to another cpu. Additionally the migration is often even
happening if all cpus are running again, as it is done without check
whether it is really needed.
As cpupool management is already calling cpu_disable_scheduler() for
cpus not having come up again, and cpu_disable_scheduler() is taking
care of eventually needed vcpu migration in the proper way, there is
simply no need for restore_vcpu_affinity().
So just remove restore_vcpu_affinity() completely, together with the
no longer used sched_reset_affinity_broken().

When a domain gets paused the unit runnable state can change to "not
runnable" without the scheduling lock being involved. This means that
a specific scheduler isn't involved in this change of runnable state.
In the RTDS scheduler this can result in an inconsistency in case a
unit is losing its "runnable" capability while the RTDS scheduler's
scheduling function is active. RTDS will remove the unit from the run
queue, but doesn't do so for the replenish queue, leading to hitting
an ASSERT() in replq_insert() later when the domain is unpaused again.

Extend the definition of the Xenstore migration stream to cover new
features:
- per domain features
- extended watches (watch depth)
- per domain quota
Some of those additions (per domain features and extended watches)
require bumping the migration stream version to "2", as usage of those
features will require to transport mandatory new information in the
migration stream.
One note regarding the GLOBAL_QUOTA_DATA record: the split of quota
between global and per-domain ones is meant to support the possibility
to pass on unknown quota settings for newly created domains to other
Xenstore instances:
Imagine Xenstore A knows about global quota g and domain quota d, while
Xenstore B doesn't know both. Initially I'm running Xenstore A on a
host, then I'm live-updating to B.
B gets the information that g is global, and d is per-domain, but has
no other idea what to do with the values of g and d. OTOH it knows that
each new domain should get d with the related value, so it can set d
for each newly created domain.
When B is either downgraded to A again, or a domain is migrated to
another host running A, B can add the quota information of d for all
domains.

Instead of including asm/hypercall.h always use xen/hypercall.h.
Additionally include xen/hypercall.h from all sources containing a
hypercall handler.
This prepares for generating the handlers' prototypes at build time.
Add a guard in asm/hypercall.h to catch direct inclusion.

Add a document to describe the rules for sending a proper patch.
As it contains all the information already being present in
docs/process/tags.pandoc remove that file.
The "Reviewed-by:" and "Acked-by:" tags are expanded to allow an
optional restriction of the tag.
A new tag "Origin:" is added to tag patches taken from another project.

Commit 7c7f7e8fba changed xen/include/public/memory.h in an incompatible
way. Unfortunately the changed parts were already in use in the Linux
kernel, so an update of the header in the kernel would result in a build
breakage.
As the change of above commit was in a section originally meant to be not
stable, it was the usage in the kernel which was wrong.
Add a comment to the modified struct for not reusing the now removed bit,
in order to avoid kernels using it stumbling over a possible new meaning
of the bit.
In case the kernel is updating to a new version of the header, the wrong
use case must be removed first.

The Xenstore migration document is missing the specification that a
node record must be preceded by the record of its parent node in case

Today the *_op_compat hypercalls call the modern handler functions by
using the entries from the hypercall table. This is resulting in a
not needed indirect function call which can be avoided by using the
correct handler function directly. This is basically a revert of
commit 1252e28231 ("x86/pv: Export pv_hypercall_table[] rather
than working around it in several ways"), which reasoning no longer
applies, as shim no longer modifies the hypercall table.
The hypercall table can now be made static as there is no external
reference to it any longer.
Commit 834cb87610 ("x86/PV32: fix physdev_op_compat handling")
can be reverted, too, as using the direct call of the correct handler
is already handled fine without that patch.

When running as pv-shim the hypercall is modified today in order to
replace the functions for __HYPERVISOR_event_channel_op and
__HYPERVISOR_grant_table_op hypercalls.
Change this to call the related functions from the normal handlers
instead when running as shim. The performance implications are not
really relevant, as a normal production hypervisor will not be
configured to support shim mode, so the related calls will be dropped
due to optimisation of the compiler.
Note that for the CONFIG_PV_SHIM_EXCLUSIVE case there is a dummy
wrapper do_grant_table_op() needed, as in this case grant_table.c
isn't being built.

Move the ignore_connection() function to xenstored_domain.c in order
to be able to access the ring page for setting the error indicator.
